The Office of the City Attorney -The Office of the City Attorney is headed by the City Attorney and is comprised of six divisions.  Each division has a deputy or chief supervising 7-12 lawyers. The City Attorney is the Ethics Compliance officer under the City's Ethics Code and is responsible for issuing Ethics Advisory Opinions.

The National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) - The National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) is the preeminent organization in the United States advancing the mission of the nation's criminal defense lawyers to ensure justice and due process for persons accused of crime or other misconduct. A professional bar association founded in 1958, NACDL's more than 12,500 direct members -- and 90 state, local, and international affiliate organizations with another 35,000 members -- include private criminal defense lawyers, public defenders, active U.S. military defense counsel, law professors and judges committed to preserving fairness within America's criminal justice system.

Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association - The Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association is a thirty year-old, state-wide organization established to protect and ensure individual rights guaranteed by the Texas and Federal Constitutions. Each of the 2500 plus attorneys who is a member of the Association is licensed by the State Bar of Texas and is actively engaged in the defense of criminal cases. The Association supports itself through membership dues and revenue from publication sales and seminar attendance.

St. Mary's University -Founded in 1852 by Marianist (Society of Mary) brothers and priests, is the oldest university in San Antonio, and the oldest and largest Catholic university in Texas and the Southwest. Charles L. Cotrell, Ph.D., the University's 12th president and the first lay Marianist to take the helm, has served as chief executive since 2000. The St. Mary's campus encompasses 135 acres northwest of downtown San Antonio.

The San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association (SATLA) -Founded in 1966. It is primarily a group of trial lawyers based in San Antonio--but because of SATLA's heavy use of Internet resources and mailing lists, today there are SATLA members all over the United States. To be a member, the majority of a lawyer's work must be geared to representing members of the general public. SATLA does not allow lawyers who regularly represent insurance companies or big business interests to be members. The purpose of SATLA is to promote fair resolutions of civil disputes and to protect individuals' rights to have their grievances aired to a fair and impartial court and/or jury of their peers.

District Clerk's Office / San Antonio - The District Clerk is primarily the Clerk of Court for the twenty-four District Courts of Bexar County (13 Civil, 9 Criminal and 2 Juvenile).  Deputy district clerks are assigned to each court to act as court clerks, and there are deputies supporting court operations and administration.  The District Clerk is the administrator of all district court files, records, effects, and conservator of the court registry.

Texas/ San Antonio RioGrande Legal Aid - Texas RioGrande Legal Aid, Inc. provides free legal services to indigent residents of South and West Texas and to migrant and seasonal farm workers throughout Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee.
